Christmas time jewelry

It's time to put up the Christmas tree, and this weekend we did just that! I couldn't wait to pull out my materials and continue making Christmas jewelry to bring to the craft bazaar on Wednesday. There are some of my red and white earrings hanging on our tree - they look just like lovely ornaments.

Holiday Craft Bazaar

Everyday Ebullience is participating in a Holiday Craft Bazaar at Joyner Elementary School in Raleigh, NC this Wednesday December 2, 2009 from 5-9pm. Pictured above are some of the items I will be selling. Tori will also be there selling beautiful hair accessories (head bands, pins, clips, etc.) If you are looking for the perfect Christmas gifts, please join us!

Happy Birthday Mickey

Today is Mickey Mouse's 81st birthday. Happy birthday Mickey!

Christmas Lights

Thanks to my friend Allison who sent me this funny picture of someone's Christmas lights. How clever.

Christmas music

I don't know about you, but I am a firm believer in listening to Christmas music in November. I just love it. On Friday night, while I was still at work, I had a discussion with some of my co-workers about my love for Christmas music and they apparently do not share the same sentiment. But, for those of you who don't bah hum bug around in November, Y102.9 in Raleigh is playing Christmas music all the time at this website. Happy listening!

Update: 106.1, 101.5 and 99.5fm in Raleigh are all playing Christmas music! So now you can be holly and jolly, even in your car.

Pirate language

I discovered the funniest thing today (thanks Matt!). You can change your language on Facebook. Now, it doesn't sound all that exciting - I mean sure you can change it to Spanish, French and so on. But then I was told about the English (Pirate). Oh, how fun! Now instead of being tagged in an album my friends were spied in a gallery o' paintins'. And instead of poking someone, I get to skewer them with me cutlass. Facebook now refers to me as a lady and my guy friends as Cap'n. Looks like yours truly will be usin' Ye olde Facebook with the tongue o' English (Pirate).

hairstyles

I tried the messy bun today. What do you think?

cute, messy hair

I found this post on Cup of Jo (one of my favorite blogs to read!) and I just had to share. I feel like this is the perfect hairstyle for me. How beautiful, yet comfy. (Would've been great for today since it's raining like crazy outside.) Here are the step by step instructions.

PS - Speaking of rain - I drove by the new apartments over at North Hills today on my way to work and would you believe they had the sprinklers on!

new earrings

My newest pair of earrings. How lovely! I made them with Amazing Glaze - one of my favorite craft supplies. I also got some really cute Christmas beads this weekend while I was in Charlotte and I can't wait to make them into earrings. Think snowmen and pretty red, sparkly beads.

Ice skating in Raleigh!

Amazing news! Downtown Raleigh is going to have an outdoor ice skating rink!
"Beginning in December, part of City Plaza on Fayetteville Street will be transformed into an outdoor skating rink... The kick-off for the festival will be held December 4, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m."
The dates for Winterfest are December 4 - January 31. The Winterfest kick-off on December 4th will feature figure skating performances, ice sculpting, sledding ramps, free carriage rides, a visit from Santa and more! I'm already so excited!
Read the entire news story here. And here is the official Winterfest website with all the details. How exciting!

new project

I've been knitting lately (yay for winter scarves) but I was inspired today, by this really cool light, to re-learn how to crochet. Isn't this neat? It looks like a bee hive or a pineapple. Find out how to create the lamp yourself at this link.

PS - Google is fun today.

fall jewelry

I'm loving the new pearl beads that Ornamentea has for fall. Somehow, I want to pair them with these beautiful gold leaves.

biking

I wish I was more into biking. I love to bike and I do ride around on the greenway and such every once in a while (in fact, back in July, John and I went on a bike ride down Duraleigh and onto the greenway, passing by Crabtree Valley and heading back up Edwards Mill - in the pouring down rain and lighting, haha. But I digress.) Don't you just love when couples 'drive' away from their wedding on their bikes? How lovely.
