Inspired by Made and Melanie's idea to make poms/flowers out of napkins instead of tissue paper, (genius! why didn't I think of that?) I made some Christmas poms to hang around my desk at work. Here's how:
1. start with a pretty patterned napkin. Mine were big and I wanted small poms, so I cut them in fourths.
2. stack at least 4 pieces on top of each other and accordion fold them
3. cut the ends so they are rounded. Once you start folding the pieces up, they will appear scalloped. Fold each piece upward, being careful not to tear it. (ya know, napkins don't tear nearly as easily as tissue paper does.)
4. Voila! you've got yourself a Christmas pom :) My first one was so cute, I made some more.
Then I hung them up with my red, green and white paper chain. Yay!
easy enough. and totally cute!
Happy Friday!
xoxo
