It's Memorial Day weekend! At this time last year, I was picking up little Lenny and bringing him home. What a cute little guy :) Hope you have a fabulous Memorial Day! John and I are camping ~ hopefully we'll hike to some awesome waterfalls!

I've been looking at Pottery Barn's website a lot lately (thank you wedding registries) and I just love these duvet covers. Don't the bedrooms (here and here) look so comfortable and relaxing? I love the bright teal sheets too!

Remember those totally cute little baby geese I saw last week on my way to work? Well, I saw them again! There are so many of them ~ and they are so fuzzy :)

so the bachelorette weekend was a huge success! we all had a blast and the weather was perfect! we even took some fun pictures with the smiley faces (remember those?) Hope you had an awesome weekend too!

It's a Bachelorette weekend!

 The weekend has finally come and it's time for a bachelorette party!! We are headed to the beach to celebrate Ruthy's bachelorette and we have some super fun things in store! Hope you have a fantastic weekend too :)

purple-people eater OR purple people-eater?

So last night, with the discussion of buying a new and possibly purple cage for little Lenny, came a question that begs to be answered. Is the purple people eater a purple people-eater or a purple-people eater, as in someone who eats purple people? Convinced that I was right (I'm on team eats purple people and John was on team eats people and is the color purple), I did a simple Google search. 
Here's my proof - lyrics from the 1958 song written and performed by Sheb Wooley:
"I said Mr. Purple People Eater, what's your line?
He said eating purple people, and it sure is fine
But that's not the reason that I came to land
I wanna get a job in a rock 'n roll band."

So there ya have it. Which team are you on?

delightful trifle

Last night during Glee (did you see the Safety Dance on Glee last night? Go Artie! and you know I love a flash mob) a friend of mine served us delicious trifles! Oh yum! These had vanilla pudding, cool whip, graham crackers, and fresh strawberries with cute little chocolate chips on top. Mine was delightful. Yes, it was a delightful trifle ;)

Remember that awesome birds nest that was created on the front door in my mom's wreath? Well a friend of mine has a birds nest by her front door in a topiary! and it currently has five beautiful tiny little white eggs inside. 

Aren't they so pretty? and so delicate? I love how birds can build a perfect little nest.

We had a great time and even ate a picnic on the rocks. We did see some snakes though - ah! That was scary! Do you like hiking and waterfalls?
