Earlier this week, John and I were in charge of providing the snacks for our weekly small group meeting. Of course no bake cookies were on the menu, that was a no brainer. But what could we make that wasn't sweet and wasn't veggies? Then it hit me, Lindsay's famous pizza pinwheels. That girl knows how to make yummy snack, so I asked her for the secrets and made a batch myself. They were a huge success! Here's the how-to so you can enjoy them yourself :)
start with big rectangles of crescent rolls or pizza dough and top with sauce...
add your favorite shredded mozzarella and any toppings you'd like. Linds said the little pepperoni were the way to go so I took her advice and used the minis.
then roll 'em up. it's a little difficult and they kind of want to fall apart. this picture makes it look easy though :) put them in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour so they can set. you can skip this step if you don't have the time but they'll be harder to cut and keep together.
then slice each roll into 4-6 pinwheels and bake at 350 until golden brown
display on your favorite plate and enjoy. these would be perfect for a Superbowl party this Sunday if you're having one!
