recipe: sticky cinnamon buns

I have an unbelievably delicious recipe to share with you today. I found it on Pinterest and of course modified it just a bit to make it work with the ingredients we had. These sticky cinnamon buns are seriously amazing. Think about what would happen if monkey bread and flaky cinnamon buns got together with some pecans and you'll know what this tastes like. Warm and gooey and delicious. Enjoy!
Like I said, I found this recipe on Pinterest. It is from the blog The Jones Way and the writer's name is Nicole so I knew it was going to be a good recipe ;) I modified it a bit because I was making a smaller portion and not using a bundt pan, but the recipe is still basically the same.
 ~
What you'll need:
1 tube of Pillsbury Grands flaky biscuits (we happened to have the honey butter kind so that's what I used and they were great!)
2 tbsp butter, melted
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
chopped pecans

What to do:
Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl.
Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts in another bowl.
Pour about half of the syrup mixture and the sugar mixture in the bottom of the baking dish.
Then add your biscuits. I put mine on their ends so they were in the dish standing up sideways, if that  makes sense. That way I was able to fit all 8 little biscuits in there. The biscuits should be close together.
Top with  remaining syrup and sugar mixtures.
Bake at 375 for about 25 minutes.
Yum! Enjoy!
