Are you ready for a delicious recipe? Seriously, so good! You know chocolate & peanut butter is one of the best food combinations (others on the list: macaroni & cheese and ice cream & a waffle cone)
These may just look like ordinary chocolate cupcakes, but what you don't know is that there is a surprise baked inside...
a mini Reese's cup!
and with that melted chocolate and peanut butter goodness on the inside, why not top them off with some delicious homemade peanut butter cream cheese icing on the outside?
Here's the icing recipe.
what you'll need:
what you'll need:

1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter
how to:
in your mixer (or you could use a hand mixer) cream together the cream cheese and butter. mix in the vanilla, then gradually stir in the powdered sugar until the icing is nice and creamy. then we added the peanut butter!

We had a hard time spreading the icing on top of the cupcakes because we made the icing the night before and had chilled it in the fridge but typically that shouldn't be a problem!
Enjoy!*
*best if served warm, I'd say!
