NC State Fair 2012... part 2

After the sun goes down there's still a lot to do at the Fair! It was time for rides, pig racing and the beautiful garden exhibit :)
the guy who carves these pumpkins impresses me every year - the facial expressions are so funny!
There was a Wolfpack themed garden - love it!
Horton, from Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears a Who was by far the best of the garden structures!

the kids :)
the birthday boy!
it's the second year in a row we've taken this photo - haha!
Steph and Scott got some NCSU ice cream - yum!
and Santa served up frozen bananas... every year he is there and I think it's awesome.
on our way to the pig races, we found I Got It! The best game at the fair!! It's 50 cents to play and you toss red bouncy balls into a 5x5 board and whoever gets them in a straight line first wins (kind of like tic tac toe). It's super fun for some reason to try and bounce your balls in the right squares.
the pigs were super cute of course! racing to the finish line for cheeeeeeese doooooooodllllllles! :)
we sat right up front
 then there were duckies
and the pot bellied pigs! (they're my fave)
(John's too)
We finished off the night on the ferris wheel overlooking the midway!
and I took this amazing photo of Stephanie and Scott - so fun!
Oh! and John discovered a fantastic dessert - frozen cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate and covered in sprinkles... isn't is pretty?
It was a happy fair experience! NC - we love you!

One of my favorite fair memories is the little girl who wanted you to be her fish in that cut out. "You gon' be my fish."

Also, you found "I Got It!" So exciting!
