One of the highlights of our trip was ziplining! We had decided to go to Blue Ridge before we decided to go ziplining and then a Groupon showed up for the Blue Ridge Canopy Tours and we decided we better snag it! It was a lot of fun to go from platform to platform between all of the trees. There were 14 zip lines in all and a suspension bridge. And then at the very end was one giant zipline called the FireWire that was 1700 feet down the mountain... and since we're dare devils (haha!) we did that one too! WOOO!!
The first platform for the first line.
Johnny!
The suspension bridge. I was in the front of the line crossing the bridge, and the guide kept jumping on the bridge and swinging it back and forth. It was hilarious! We could barely make it across because I was laughing so hard and could hardly walk while all that was going on.
Weeeee!
Look at us rocking those yellow helmets :)
John's upside down in this picture... can you see him?
At the end of the canopy tour, a very pretty view from up there! And behind us is the final FireWire zipline. (ps - we are connected to that tree. On every platform they would use your safety harness and connect you to the tree in the middle so if you fell off you wouldn't fall very far, haha)
Looking down the FireWire
Looking back up at the top platform for the FireWire!
We did it! And it was so much fun!
